Terms of Service
These Terms cover your use of Repceipt. The short version: the tool is for lawful work — replacing your own lost receipts, mockups, teaching, and props — and not for deceiving anyone. Read alongside our Privacy Policy.
01What Repceipt is
Repceipt is a design tool for making receipt-style documents. You pick a template, edit the lines, and export the result as a PNG, a PDF, or an 80mm file sized for a thermal printer.
What you make is a mockup. Repceipt does not verify, authenticate, or certify that anything you create records a real purchase. Nothing you export is a proof of purchase or a financial record, and it should never be presented as one.
These Terms are the agreement between you and us. By using the service you accept them. If you do not accept them, do not use the service.
02Accounts and eligibility
You can open a template and start editing without an account. You need an account to save your work, manage a subscription, or export without a watermark.
You must be at least 16 years old to create an account. If you are using the service for an employer or client, you confirm you are allowed to accept these Terms on their behalf.
Keep your login details to yourself. You are responsible for what happens under your account, so tell us at support@repceipt.com if you think someone else has access to it.
Give us accurate account and billing information, and keep it current.
03What you may use it for
Repceipt is built for lawful work. Typical uses include:
- Rebuilding a receipt you lost, for your own records
- Turning a paper receipt into a digital copy
- Mockups, comps, and prototypes for design and product work
- Teaching material, coursework, and research
- Props for film, theatre, photography, and games
This list is not exhaustive, and a use missing from it is not automatically a breach. The real test is the next section.
04Prohibited uses
The line is deception. Do not use Repceipt to make a document that another person is meant to rely on as genuine. In particular, you must not create or use a receipt to:
- Claim a refund, return, exchange, reimbursement, or chargeback you are not entitled to
- Support a tax deduction, an insurance claim, or a warranty claim
- Submit a false expense to an employer or a client
- Prove purchase, ownership, provenance, or authenticity to anyone who will act on it
- Impersonate a real business, or use a real company's name, logo, or trademarks without permission
You also must not:
- Break any law that applies to you
- Scrape, reverse engineer, resell, or redistribute the service or its template library
- Work around watermarks, export limits, payment, or any other technical restriction
- Interfere with the service, or try to reach accounts or data that are not yours
- Upload malware, illegal content, or anything that infringes someone else's rights
Breaking this section can cost you your account without a refund. Where the law requires it, we will cooperate with law enforcement.
05Your content
Your content is the receipts, text, images, and logos you upload or create. You own it, and using the service does not change that.
You are responsible for what you put into a receipt. Do not upload anything you lack the right to use, and keep real payment card numbers and other people’s personal details out of your templates — you do not need them, and the service is not the right place for them.
We do not review content before you create it, but we can remove content that breaks these Terms.
06The licence you give us
To run the service we need permission to handle your content. You grant Repceipt a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, copy, and display your content — solely to operate, secure, and support the service, and only for as long as you keep that content on it.
This licence does not let us sell your content, publish it, or use it in marketing or as a public example. If we ever want to feature something you made, we will ask you first.
07Our intellectual property
The service — the software, the template library, the layouts, the design system, the name, and the logo — belongs to us or our licensors and is protected by copyright and trademark law.
A subscription is a licence to use the service, not a transfer of ownership. You are free to export and use the receipts you make. You may not copy or redistribute the template library itself, or use it to build a competing product.
Store names, logos, and marks that appear in templates belong to their respective owners. They are there so you can recognise a layout. Their presence is not a partnership, sponsorship, or endorsement, and it does not give you the right to use those marks.
08Plans, billing, and refunds
Repceipt has a free plan and paid plans. Current prices, limits, and features are on the pricing page, and those details form part of these Terms.
Payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number.
Paid plans renew automatically at the end of each billing period — monthly or yearly, whichever you chose — at the price then in effect. You can cancel at any time from your billing settings. Cancelling stops the next renewal; you keep access until the end of the period you have already paid for.
Pro includes a 14-day money-back guarantee: ask within 14 days of your first payment and we will refund it in full. After that, payments are non-refundable except where the law requires otherwise.
We may change prices. If a change affects your plan we will tell you before it applies to a renewal, so you can cancel first if you would rather not continue.
09Free plan, limits, and watermarks
Exports on the free plan carry a watermark and are capped each month. Removing the watermark and lifting the cap is what the paid plans are for.
Do not strip the watermark from an exported file, and do not use multiple accounts to get around export limits. Both are breaches of these Terms.
We may adjust the limits of the free plan over time. Paid plan entitlements will not be reduced mid-term without notice.
10Privacy
How we handle personal data is set out in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms. It explains what we collect, why, who processes it on our behalf, and the rights you have over it.
11Third-party services
The service depends on providers we do not control: Supabase for accounts and data storage, Stripe for payments, Vercel for hosting, Resend for account emails, and Google for optional sign-in. Their own terms govern their part of the service.
We choose these providers carefully, but we are not responsible for their acts or omissions, and we cannot guarantee their availability.
12Suspension and termination
You can stop using the service whenever you like, and delete your account from settings. Deleting your account also deletes the receipts saved to it.
We can suspend or close an account that breaks these Terms, is being used for fraud, has unpaid fees, or puts the service or other users at risk. Where it is reasonable and lawful, we will tell you why and give you a chance to put it right first.
If we close your account for a breach, you are not entitled to a refund of fees already paid.
The parts of these Terms that should sensibly outlast the agreement do so — licences already granted, intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnity, and governing law.
13Disclaimers
The service is provided "as is" and "as available". We do not promise it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or fit for any particular purpose of yours.
We do not guarantee that anything you create will be accepted by any merchant, employer, insurer, court, or authority — and, per the prohibited uses above, you should not be creating anything with that intention.
Nothing on this site or in the product is legal, tax, accounting, or financial advice.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain warranties to be excluded. Where that is so, this section applies only as far as the law permits.
14Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost revenue, lost goodwill, or lost data.
Our total liability for all claims relating to the service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the three months before the claim arose, or USD 100.
Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited — including liability for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for death or personal injury caused by negligence. If you are a consumer, your statutory rights are unaffected.
15Indemnity
If a third party brings a claim against us arising from your use of the service, the content you created with it, or your breach of these Terms, you agree to cover our reasonable losses, costs, and legal fees — provided we notify you of the claim promptly and let you participate in its defence.
16Changes to the service and these Terms
We may add, change, or remove features as the product develops. If we discontinue a paid feature you rely on, we will give reasonable notice.
We may also update these Terms. When we do, we will change the "Updated" date at the top of this page, and for significant changes we will give notice in the product or by email. Continuing to use the service after a change means you accept the revised Terms; if you do not, stop using the service and cancel any subscription.
17Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction from which the service is operated, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, and the courts of that jurisdiction have non-exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute.
If you are a consumer, this does not deprive you of the protection of any mandatory rules of the country where you live, and you may still bring proceedings there.
Before starting formal proceedings, please contact us. Almost everything is faster to resolve directly.
